The Santa Fe Ranch is owned and operated by the Paula and Cabot Sedgwick Family Foundation, which is run by a Board of Directors (each of whom is a member of the Sedgwick family).
Henrietta Sedgwick Barassi lives with her attorney husband, Louis Barassi, in Tucson. Henrietta is on the Finance Committee and offers much valuable advice on the healthy maintenance of native plants and flowers.
Angel Sedgwick is the newest Board member. He has taken over the chair of his mother Paulita Sedgwick (1943-2010), who is quite fondly remembered as the animal lover and activist who brought us Buffy the Bison and insisted on making available to Buffy air conditioning and classical music on a daily basis. Angel is a major in the British Reserves; he has served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He brings the next generation of charisma and creativity to the Santa Fe Ranch Foundation Board of Directors.
Susana Cabot Sedgwick is an author, a member of the Explorer's Club, a resident of New York City, and a citizen of the world. She often visits the Santa Fe, and she is intimately involved in long-range projects, including the development of this website. Susana’s concerns focus on permaculture, health and nutrition
Guillermina Arenas Sedgwick is the widow of Samuel Sedgwick. Mina is a native of Navajoa, Mexico and is deeply concerned with the issues of our border. She lives next to the Santa Fe Ranch, and her photos of missions in Baja, California have hung at the Tucson International Airport. Mina is on the Finance Committee and is actively involved on many Foundation projects.
Ron Fish has recently retired, after more than thirty years, from Santa Fe Ranch management to run his own nearby cattle ranch. Ron was responsible for all plant operations and agricultural programs; he has been succeeded by his son, Dr. Dean Fish. Ron was 2009 Ranch Manager of the Year and has been involved in agriculture and cattle ranching since he was a Future Farmer of America at Amphi High School in Tucson. He is currrently an active member of the Santa Cruz District 28 School Board, the Ground Water Users Association, the Natural Resource Conservation District, and various cattlemen’s associations. His wife, Lupita (see STAFF for more information), leads education program activities on the Ranch.
The President of the Board is Tony Sedgwick. Please read more about him under STAFF.
